How to brew

There are few things you can do to elevate your tea drinking experience, first of all is to use freshly drawn water filtered water, which helps to produce better liquor with refined flavour. Pour hot water once it reaches boiling point and while brewing to cover the cup or teapot to trap the aroma and heat. Check brewing time for each tea type as it varies according to type and blends.

Silver & Golden Tips and White Tea

One teaspoon per person. Allow infusion for 4-5 minutes. Tips are the most delicate out of the all the teas hence brewing takes longer. Both gold and silver can be infused over and over again, slightly increasing brewing time. Tips are naturally slightly sweet and subtle hence we recommend you enjoy this tea without milk or sugar.

Green Tea

Sencha Green has a strong natural flavour, thus half a teaspoon per person is recommended. Allow infusion for 1-3 minutes, slightly longer is strong taste preferred. Green tea: One teaspoon per person. Allow 2-3 minutes for infusion. Both Sencha green and Green No.8 can be infused over and over again. We suggest green tea to be enjoyed without milk. Honey or sugar can be used according to preference, although we recommend honey over sugar.

Black Tea

One teaspoon per person. Allow infusion for 2-3 minutes, longer if stronger taste is preferred. We recommend black tea to be enjoyed without milk. Honey or sugar can be used according to taste. If brewed in a pot add according to instructions along with one extra teaspoon. All our teas are whole leaves hence we recommend to enjoy them without milk to take full advantage of the flavours.
